About my work..
I completed my Masters in Special Education in 2004 and served elementary aged students as a resource teacher. After four years in the public school setting I selected to work as a full-time tutor, where I am able to know each student child individually and cater to his/her unique needs and styles of learning.
I have completed several courses in Orton-Gillingham methods of teaching and am certified by both the Academic Language Therapy Association and the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council.
I draw inspiration for my paintings from Nature. Her beauty surrounds me daily, and on some days I can’t help but absorb it. In the winter and spring I am especially aware of her and hope to convey my awe and appreciation through my acrylics.
